Volare Wellbeing for Schools

Strengthening health of the mind in education

Embedding mental fitness into schools, proactively, preventively, and sustainably.Supporting the Next Generation and those who guide them, through evidence-informed practice, staff development, and cultural change.

Why Schools Choose Volare

Schools across the country are managing unprecedented and increasing pressures, often without the space or infrastructure to respond sustainably:

  • Rising emotional and behavioural needs alongside academic and safeguarding demands

  • Pastoral and teaching staff carrying increasing complexity without time to embed preventative practice

  • Support that is often reactive, fragmented, and only accessed only when difficulties reach crisis point

Volare’s mental fitness support for schools is not an additional initiative. It works with existing systems, priorities, and staff expertise to support a shift from reactive response to proactive mental fitness.

Volare does not offer prescriptive, one-size-fits-all programmes.
All engagements are bespoke and co-created, developed in partnership with schools to build on existing strengths, priorities, and provision.
Our work is structured to enable meaningful change in practice, without adding unnecessary complexity or pressure to school systems.Schools engage with Volare through distinct but flexible forms of support, selected according to their context, priorities, and desired outcomes.
In practice, this means schools engage with Volare through the following forms of support:

1.Consultancy - Strategic Insight & Direction

For schools seeking clarity before action. This model focuses on understanding what is already in place and where support will have the greatest impact. It typically includes:
• Strategic conversations and diagnostic review
• Exploration of existing wellbeing, pastoral, and relational strengths
• Identification of priorities and areas for development
• Clear, evidence-informed recommendations to guide next steps
This phase often informs programme design, staff development, and wider partnership work.

2.Bespoke Programme Design & Delivery

For schools ready to embed mental fitness in practice.Programmes are designed collaboratively and may work with:
• Senior Management and School Staff teams
• Young people
• Parents and carers
• Or a combination of all three
Delivery is shaped to context and may include structured sessions, targeted interventions, or pilot programmes to test and refine approaches before wider implementation. This model focuses on practical application, learning, and impact, rather than off-the-shelf delivery.

3.Ongoing Partnership & Embedded Support

For schools seeking depth, continuity, and sustainable cultural change, moving beyond one-off activity to consistent, day-to-day practice.
This engagement model provides longer-term partnership and may include:
• Coaching and mentoring for staff and leaders
• Targeted coaching and mentoring for young people
• Parent support aligned with school priorities
• Ongoing strategic consultation and reflective support
This approach enables schools to implement mental fitness as part of everyday practice, strengthening capacity and confidence over time.

Schools may engage through different starting points.
All work is designed to be collaborative, proportionate, and aligned with what is already in place, with flexibility to evolve as needs change
